Rooted: Healing Intergenerational Trauma* is a transformative virtual space designed to help you understand how trauma is passed down through generations and, more importantly, how to break the cycle. You’ll learn about the science behind generational trauma, how it shapes emotional and relational patterns, and practical strategies for healing through self-attunement, relationships, and faith. If you're seeking a research-backed, culturally attuned approach to healing that empowers you with real tools for change, this course is for you.
*This space is designed for a Muslim audience, but everyone is welcome to join and learn!
Hi, I’m Dr. Hanan Hashem
I’m a licensed psychologist, educator, and researcher specializing in Muslim mental health, intergenerational trauma, and the intersection of culture, identity, and healing.
Through my clinical work, teaching, and community education, I’ve seen firsthand how deeply generational trauma shapes our emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being.
I created Rooted because I know how overwhelming it can feel to recognize these patterns and not know where to begin.
This space is designed to give you a structured, research-backed, and culturally attuned approach to understanding and healing from inherited trauma.
Whether you're struggling with self-worth, relationships, or patterns you see repeating in your family, this space will equip you with the knowledge and tools to break cycles and move toward healing.
